Welcome to Wilmington’s Midtown Area! Located between the Cape Fear River and the beautiful beaches, this area exploding with possibilities for locals and visitors alike. At the heart of this booming area is the Pointe at Barclay, an area anchored by The Pointe14, a state-of-the-art movie theater. Indulge in shop-therapy at a variety of shopping options at Independence Mall for the more traditional stores. If you enjoy antiquing then check out The Ivy Cottage or if a more specialty shopping experience is to your liking, then the Blue Moon Gift Shops may be for you.
Shopping isn’t the only thing available in Midtown. Discover your appreciation for nature at Airlie Gardens, a place we love, especially in the spring when the explosion of Tulips bloom. You can also celebrate culture and history at the Cameron Art Museum. We particularly love “Boundless”, A Public Sculpture honoring the United States Colored Troops by NC Artist Stephen Hayes.
