Located between the beach communities of Surf City and Topsail Island, Hampstead has grown from a small fishing village and whistle stop on the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad to one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Just north of Wilmington and south of Jacksonville, Hampstead is bordered to the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.

Hampstead is home to many local seafood vendors and restaurants and offers a unique shopping experience from eclectic boutiques. Home to the NC Spot Festival, thousands of people flock to the area to support Topsail schools and the community.
